Buy your ticket in a converted mark 2 Irish Rail carriage at the beautifully restored Kilmeadan Station. From the station a heritage narrow gauge railway follows 8km of the abandoned Waterford/Dungarvan railway line. Experience the beauty of the Suir Valley from partially opened carriages as you take in the panaromic views of the river and rolling farmland of Waterford and across the river to County Kilkenny. Also journeying beside the world famous Mount Congreve Gardens. This is an area rich in history and only accessible by train. The Waterford & Suir Valley Railway is a voluntary community project with charitable status. All facilities are wheel chair accessible. Refreshments are available in the ticket office carriage with seating for up to 20 persons.
