Marble Arch Global Geopark is unique in being the only international Geopark in the World. The Geopark consists of geological, cultural and historic sites of global significance in Co. Fermanagh and Co. Cavan and gives visitors the opportunity to explore the unique landscape of this intriguing area. Large areas of the Geopark are home to the globally rare blanket bog habitat that can be experienced on the Cuilcagh Way walking route. Visitors have the chance to see first hand how restoration work carried out on areas damaged by peat cutting. The Cuilcagh Way is a 33km way marked trail separated into 6 sections to be walked individually. Central to the Geopark are the Marble Arch Caves themselves, they are one of the best showcaves in Europe and offer visitors the chance to discover a fascinating world of underground rivers, waterfalls, winding passageways and lofty chambers. Spectacular walkways allow easy access while powerful lighting reveals the stunning beauty and grandeur of the caves. Electrically powered boats glide through huge caverns carrying visitors along a subterranean river. Tours last for 75 minutes and are suitable for people of average fitness.
